Xbox One to launch in China this year

Microsoft's latest console, the Xbox One, is being readied for a September launch in China. "In China there are over half a billion gamers," said one of Microsoft's corporate VPs, Yusuf Medhi, as part of a promotional video prepared for the announcement. The annoncement coincided with China's Golden Week holiday period, starting on May 1. Microsoft's Chinese partner Shanghai Media Group, whose subsidiary BesTV forged an agreement with Microsoft in September 2013, will be heading up the regional push.
