According to an international study published by GlobalWebIndex, social networks are primarily used to follow friends' activity and stay informed. The market research firm polled social network members on their activity and it turns out that above all, what they are seeking is information, whether it is about current events in general or their friends' activity, and in the end, few are inclined to share their private lives.
