The original Hot Tub Time Machine was the story of four guys who travel back to the ‘80s and get a chance at "fixing" their disappointing lives. This time around, Hot Tub Time Machine 2 (in theaters starting today) eschews the sentimental narrative altogether for a frenetic, bombastic, "dudebro sci-fi" movie. When Lou (Rob Corddry) gets shot by an assailant from the future, the original trio (which includes Corddry, Craig Robinson, and Clarke Duke) travel to the year 2025 to stop the killer before it happens. Along the way, they meet Adam Scott, who plays the son of John Cusack's character from the original (Cusack himself is nowhere to be seen).
