Nokia Gets Into the Business of Smart Cars Nokia has announced that they will invest $100 million into new companies that are developing the "connected and intelligent vehicles" of the future. The new venture capital fund will focus primarily on the mapping and location services within cars. Nokia itself has been heavily focused on location services since 2008, when it purchased map provider Navteq. Currently, Nokia provides map data to Amazon, Microsoft, Yahoo, and several car navigation systems.
