AT&T is making a bid to buy DirecTV for a hefty sum, unless the company's NFL Sunday Ticket portion doesn't pan out, leaving them with an escape clause. Other deals afoot include the Comcast and Time Warner Cable merger, both of which are some of the most hated names in the industry.
