Coca-Cola revealed Friday (Jan. 24) that a recent data breach had compromised the personal information, including 18,000 Social Security numbers, of 74,000 of its employees. The Wall Street Journal reported, based on information provided by Coca-Cola, that a former employee at the company's Atlanta headquarters allegedly possessed a handful of laptops that contained personally identifiable information of employees. These details included 56,000 driver's-license numbers and the aforementioned Social Security numbers, but fewer than 10 credit-card numbers.
