Just six people were able to successfully enroll in health insurance through Healthcare.gov, the government's online marketplace, during the first 24 hours it was live. Slow loading times, bugs, and errors prevented an unknown number of Americans from shopping for health insurance. The enrollee numbers come from the minutes taken during a so-called "War Room" meeting of administration officials and contractors called by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the health department agency that oversaw the development of the website. The administration has not released the number of health insurance enrollments, saying only that more than 700,000 people have completed applications.
