Katie Couric joins Yahoo as global anchor

Katie Couric, best known as an anchor and correspondent for The Today Show, 60 Minutes, and ABC News, is joining Yahoo, where she will serve as the network's global news anchor. Though Couric was rumored to begin hosting an interview show at Yahoo, her specific duties haven't been detailed. Couric will begin leading a team of Yahoo News correspondents early next year. For the past two years, Couric has worked for ABC as a special correspondent and also hosts the daytime talk show Katie, which she'll continue to host even once she's joined Yahoo.
