In the Future, McDonalds Might 3D Print Happy Meal Toys to Appease Grumpy Kids

Sorry, kiddos, but you can't always get what you want--unless it's at McDonalds in the United Kingdom. The Register writes that "countless" families have had their McDonalds experience ruined because the desired toy the kids wanted was sold out and nobody wants to walk away with a lame backup prize. So, to combat the crying children, MickeyD's IT Director Mark Fabes said he's toying with the idea of using 3D printers to create on-demand trinkets. Let's not even think about the manpower and time this would require at the tightly controlled conveyer belt system at McDonalds.
