Dire warnings and a darker tone in new three-minute 'Hobbit' sneak peek

Warner Bros. has released a sneak peek of the upcoming The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug that expands on the movie's main trailer. Again we see Martin Freeman as Bilbo as he finds himself in bug nests and treasure piles, again we see Gandalf offering portents and wisdom, again we see Orlando Bloom pirouetting and stabbing things as Legolas, and again we see the eye of Sauron and the vestiges of an orc army. But where the main trailer was set to swelling music, the sneak peak is a darker affair.
