UK carriers will be forced to let customers ditch mobile contracts if they raise prices

No one likes a price hike, especially mid-contract. Neither does UK regulator Ofcom it seems, which is setting out new guidance for mobile, broadband and landline suppliers. The plans will allow customers to leave their contracts -- without penalty -- if prices are raised during a their contract.
